Hurricane Ike

In this photo I noticed that the building has broken windows and the glass is all over the ground. The man in the picture is place in bottom right hand corner and what he's looking at is in the photo as well which makes this photo good for the Rule of Thirds. The subject of the broken windows captured my eyes, it shows the glass mess that Hurricane Ike left behind.

In this photo there is a person walking down an alley in the storm. This is a great Lining picture because there's a lot of lines present in the photo such as the light poles, electricity lines and the side of the buildings. The composition of the rain captured my attention because of the way it looks; foggy and misty.

Pinhole Finale

1.) In my negative you can't really see the picture too well and in my positive the picture is a bit clear. Everything that's dark in the negative is now light in the positive. Everything that's on the left side in the negative is now on the right side in the positive such as the tree in the back.
2.) Negative- changing the colors to where the lightest areas are shown as the darkest
My negative looks different than my positive because it has less contrast than the final image.
3.) The bending on the corners of my image was due to Refraction; when a light of ray changes medium.

Balance

This is a good balanced image because theirs a building on both sides of the image which makes it Symmetrical balanced.

Framing

This is a good image for framing because the photographer want a picture of the mess outside and on both sides of the picture there is a tree which forms a frame.

Avoiding Mergers

This is a good image for avoiding mergers because the people on both sides of the girl are cut out of the image which is known as border mergers.

Lines

In the picture there are a variety of lines that captured my eyes. There's the rails that are lined up, the men, the flags and the orange and white patterned.

Rule of Thirds

In this picture the girl is on the right side and she is looking at the building in front of her. The picture is a good example of the rule of thirds because it shows why the girl is in shocked and what she's looking at.

Simplicity

This is a good picture for simplicity because it clearly shows what the photographer wanted.  Also because it's close to the subject and makes the background not busy. The firefighter is pointing right at the camera and it looks like he is blaming you.
