Marlboro Marine

Luis puts the photo in a sequence to where they tell a story of Blake's life. The photos shows you what its like living his life and what he went through.  The captions explains what's happening in the photograph. The photos shows Blake's life compared to life in war and how he was changing over time. The tone in his voice makes you feel the pain and depression Blake was going through. The tone also gives you that feeling of being present, and feel the way he felt.

The most powerful photo is the one where he's in the war with his helmet and a cigarette in his mouth, because it shows his facial expressions. You can tell he went through a lot and that he isn't to happy.

The photos of the dead people is the most powerful sequence, because they show how you can end up. The photos show how one can lose his life. They photos put an image in your head of how it is in the war.

The audio was put in the slideshow so that the viewer can get a sense of sorrow and better understand Blake's life.

The photos are in a sequence to tell the story of Blake's life.

FUNNY CAPTIONS

Ray, the owner of this car is inside the building busting his butt off to make some money, little does he know some of his buddies are outside pulling a prank on him. It's 8:30 in the morning and Ray's friends give him a surprise of his life.

The couple, John and Mary are on their way back home when all of a sudden a lost buffalo comes along the way so the man pulls over and ask "Do you need help?" And of course the buffalo said yes, so the man gave him directions.

Duke, the security dog is taking a nap from a long day of work. There was someone trying to break into the house, luckily Duke the super dog was there to save the day.

The photo looks amazing, it looks glossy. I love the way this photo was taken it looks weird with the colors, but that's what makes it look cool at the same time. I love the lighting of the photo the yellow brings more light to the photo.
The video is very touching, its about a 7 year old girl named America that has Crouzon syndrome. This video makes me want to help her and it hurts me to see this little girl being hurt.

Contests Preview, Show and Tell

2008 Fall Contest

I love this picture, its very creative it seems different. The gummy bears are placed in the center and you can see the shadows of the them. The lighting is fantastic it's not to dark and you can see that the photographer is focusing on just the gummy bears. The background is great because it's not busy and allows the viewer to focus on the subject.

Great Black and White Photographers Part 3

1.)  I choose Alvin Langdon Coburn because his photos have a lot of meaning to them. I love the photos of buildings and some of his photos look like they are reflected.

2.)
There's people and a horse crossing over the bridge looks like they are leaving the city. I also see a person in the back he seems to be getting some water. There's also some buildings in the foggy background.

I smell the moisture of the water. I can smell the smoke in the air coming from the buildings. I can also smell the horse.

I can hear the loud noise from the city. I can hear the horse shoes banging on the wood of the bridge every time it takes a step. I can hear the man dragging his feet in the dirt.

I taste the murky water running in between my teeth. I can taste the burning of wood from the town.

I feel the fresh breeze of air running through my skin. I feel the dirt running in between my toes. I feel the coldness of the water.

3.) I would like to create posters or blogs to show the world my Photographer; Alvin Langdon Coburn. To gets my thoughts out to the school I can start off by making posters and putting them all along the school.

I see the light from the moving cars and from the buildings. I see a man and a lady rushing to get home before dark. To my right there's a man changing his store "Open" sign to "Closed".

I smell the fresh foods from the market beside me. The fresh scent of fruits runs through nose. I smell the burning of rubber from the cars.

I hear the roaring of the cars driving by. I hear a couple arguing with each other. I hear a baby crying from one of the buildings.

I can taste the juicy red apple. I can taste the grape flavored lollypop. The delicious pizza stuffs my mouth.

I feel the cold winter breeze slamming into my face. I feel the darkness taking over. I feel the child walking with his mother accidently bump into me. I can feel the heat coming from the sidewalk.

Academics Previews

The Story

It's reading time in this classroom, the children are all sitting along the side of the carpet while the young boy reads to them a picture book. All the kids seem to be interested by what he reads because they are all looking at the reader.

Action And Emotion

The man in this photo is burning a metal box. He has his mask on to protect his eyes. The photo seems wierd in a good way because of the position the picture was taken; inside the box.

Most Interesting Stuff

This photo is interesting because it's not to plain and it's busy. There's a lot going on with the three guys on the stage. There's one guy playing his instrument and singing, one stepping on something on the ground and the other one is in the back playing his instrument. They could performing or practicing.
