Caption Warm-Up

Caption:
During the chase on Monday morning for Calvin the goat, he tries to escape wildly from owner Ianloy because he doesn't want to go back in the barn. Calvin looked to his left and saw his girlfriend Sally he tried to get to her but Ianloy stopped him.

Rules:
leading lines- the fence in back leads to the subject
creating depth- the goat in the the fore ground, then Ianloy is the middle and the are focused
mergers- Ianloy's foot is coming out of the goats butt
Balanced: from bottom to top, the goat is in the bottom and Ianloy is on the top which balances

there has been a nuclear crisis, people who'd lived within 20 kilometers of the nuclear facility would not return home permanently in a matter of days or weeks, they need to gain control of the nuclear power plant, some people are working together rushing to prevent the disaster from worsening,  radioactive iodine-131 went 361 yards into the Pacific Ocean and surged to 4,385 times above the regulatory limit
What did happen?
ten of thousands of people had to move away, some people are already effected with the radiation released, radiation has been found in beef
What are the consequences?
the meat won't be sold, people have to move away from their home for a long time, infants shouldn't drink tap water, banned sales and transports of numerous vegetables grown in the area after tests detected radiation, fishing is not allowed within 12 miles of the plant

people can't live home, they can't sell foods from there because of the radiation, they have to be more careful

1.) My reactions to the power point
I thought the power point was amazing, the photo are scary because their wild animals but I liked the power point over all.
2. What was your favorite photo? Describe it and tell me why its your favorite
the cheetah in the tree is my favorite photo, it's zoomed in and focuses on the features of the cheetah, I like how the photo is clear and how the photographer used the rule of simplicity blurring out the background and focusing on the cheetah
3. Look up the photographer –
a.     What kind of camera did he use?
 medium-format black and white film without telephoto or zoom lenses. He uses a Pentax 67ll with only two fixed lenses
b.     What is his reason for taking the photos?
He wants to take photos of the wild animals before they are gone
c.     What is his hope by taking these types of photos?
He hopes to show the animals simply in the state of being before they are gone
d.     Find something he has to say about Africa and post the quote on your blog
